About the role
As a VP of Macro Analytics, you will be responsible for Global & European energy, LNG, H2 & energy transition markets, you will facilitate accurate assessment of commercial risks associated with long term portfolio contracts. Building a team to overseeing the development, improvement and maintenance of databases and models required to meet business needs, you will keep up to date with analytical development and innovations in macroeconomics to enhance SEFE’s future capabilities.
What you’ll do
Managing a small team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and adequate delivery of analysis of long-term market data and macro-economic indicators to support regular reporting and analysis across all our commodities. You will also;
• Proactively share Macroeconomic insights and ensuring SEFE Group’s analytical alignment across all relevant teams and tenors
• Define and set key modelling methodologies, processes & cadence
• Provide analytical support on the medium to long term (>18 months) horizon aimed at enabling commercial and investment decision making
• Identifying and promoting efficient ways of working, digital automation of processes and required team culture traits (e.g., evidence-based decision making, openness to constructive challenge)
• Work with Group’s IT and Digital to develop efficient processes and systems for macro analytics data
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience as a Chief Economist or equivalent and managed a small team of Analysts to achieve success. Previous experience within commodities is essential. You will also have;
• Degree in Economics (or equivalent experience)
• Development, coordination and production of economic and financial analysis
• Influencing key stakeholders in a multi-national environment
• Modelling on the medium to long term curve including to support reporting
• Worked in an environment of change and growth
