We are looking for someone to join our team and support the operation and development of credit risk management activities for UK mid-large market.

What will you do?

Some of the key tasks include:

  • Prepare and present credit risk analysis, including counterparty Credit Application Requests and Portfolio analysis
  • Produce detailed counterparty Credit Application Requests, incorporating a detailed financial analysis and a full appraisal of all credit risk factors
  • Ensure all credit applications processed and the associated reporting is conducted with full compliance to both Group and SEFE Energy and credit policies and procedures
  • Monitor the credit risk environment and macro-economic trends
  • Constantly review credit processes, systems, and data. Credit / Commercial interfaces, ensuring optimal processes are in place.
  • Manage complex projects related to credit risk, working with external suppliers and internal departments
  • Review SEFE Energy Credit policy – proactively identifying opportunities for mitigating credit risk whilst allowing for managed growth
  • Collaborate with commercial teams and customers, to resolve issues and identify solutions that enable credit facilities to be approved
  • Analyse portfolio credit reporting including potential future exposure, expected loss and Mark to Market metrics to ensure key risks and opportunities are identified

What you will bring

You’ll have significant experience in a role focusing on credit risk/financial analysis, and a strong understanding of credit risk management practices, policies, and frameworks

A driven self-starter you will grasp concepts quickly and deliver a reasoned investigation and analysis. You will also demonstrate the following

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail and deliver a high level of accuracy in everything you do
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal effectively with queries and build relationships with internal and external parties
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate complex issues to non-expert peers and senior management
  • The initiative to propose solutions and act independently, as well as the confidence to effectively challenge the status quo
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting activities and deliver results under pressure
  • Proven ability to assess complex problems and deliver solutions
  • Proficient in Excel, data analytics / reporting / modelling experience, and knowledge of Python would be an advantage
