We are looking for someone to join our sales team in the Netherlands to lead a mixed team of account managers and direct sales agents selling B2B gas and power direct to customers and through brokers. The Sales Team Manager reports directly to the Head of Sales & Marketing.
What you will do?
You will be responsible for identifying and implementing new and innovative ways of working, driving process improvement throughout the commercial function and challenging all aspects of the sales journey to ensure that the team are operating effectively and efficiently.
You will be responsible for all aspects of team management. You will build and maintain a positive culture for your team, inspire confidence and lead through motivation and support. You will use your coaching and networking skills to build a high level of engagement from both the team and other stakeholders. You will look to create an enjoyable and competitive working environment in which teamwork and individual performance are both rewarded.
Your success will be measured by regular feedback from your team and peers, and in the delivery of all targets and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
What you’ll bring to the role?
You will
- Be an experienced sales team leader or manager with proven experience in the energy sector (gas or power)
- Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering results in a target driven environment
- Have an analytical mind set with the ability to identify issues and drive action plans to improve performance
- Have a strong commercial focus coupled with the ability to innovate to drive strong performance
- Demonstrate strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to build long term relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)
- Bring strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Have a passion for coaching and developing others to achieve success
- Be IT literate with the ability to present information to both convey results and influence outcomes
