We are looking for someone to join our team to support our portfolio risk management activities and drive the development of risk control monitoring, improve data quality developing and maintain accurate and timely reporting on portfolio risk metrics.
What will you do?:
In this role you will:
- Provide quantitative and qualitative risk analysis on current portfolio and future opportunities, developing and maintaining accurate and timely reporting on portfolio risk metrics
- Support and develop risk systems and infrastructure, and support the team in developing robust governance and controls around model risk management
- Drive the development of risk control monitoring, including sourcing of data in a sustainable way and to improve data quality
- Own and develop market risk reporting and risk control frameworks for the benefit of senior management and stakeholders across the business
- Autonomously drive projects and present workable results within deadlines
- Engage with stakeholders to investigate and drive new products and trading strategies
- Participate in the enhancement and automation of different risk processes and reporting
What will you bring?:
You will have a solid knowledge of SQL or Python and experience working in a statistical environment.
You will also demonstrate the following
- Knowledge of Value-At-Risk, stress testing, scenario analysis, and other risk analysis techniques is desirable.
- Understanding of advance data analytics and modelling techniques
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to communicate complex issues in understandable manner to non-expert peers and senior management
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all areas of work
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal effectively with queries and build relationships with internal and external parties.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel and VBA
- Degree level education in a quantitative subject (e.g. Maths, Stats, Engineering, Physics)
Experience within a similar environment (Energy sector and/or Risk) would be advantageous.
