Role objectives

It’s an exciting time for the Marketing team here at SEFE Energy. With a fresh new name and big ambitions, we’re looking for the right person to help us take our marketing plans to the next level.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Co-ordinator will help us build our brand and deepen our relationships with customers and partners. You’ll work with a driven team of marketing professionals on a wide range of marketing and external communications activities to help the business achieve its goals.

There’ll be plenty to sink your teeth into as we put the wheels in motion for some big upcoming marketing projects. You’ll work with members of the Marketing, Sales and Operations teams to implement a best-practice approach to communications, marketing campaigns, events, incentives and more, with a view to improving the customer experience and driving sales.

The right person for this role will be a creative and innovative self-starter, who’s always willing to take on a new challenge. You’ll be comfortable driving your projects forward on your own initiative – but you’ll have the support and backing of a close-knit team to help you along the way. You’ll be a fantastic copywriter, with experience drafting communications for a wide variety of audiences and purposes – from operational messages to clever campaigns. You’ll be an expert planner, with great organisational skills and the ability to multi-task while working to deadlines. You’ll also have an eye for detail and a great grasp on marketing analytics.

Duties & Responsibilities

Communications & campaigns – Plan and manage a calendar of customer and partner marketing communications. Responsibilities will include writing, editing and co-ordinating approvals for content with various stakeholders across the business, before distributing to audiences through our marketing email system. Ensure all communications are prepared and sent to a high standard, achieving the best outcomes for the business and team.

Customer & Partner Events – Support the planning and co-ordinate the logistics for a series of events and activities to nurture and reinforce relationships with customers and partners throughout the year.

Partner Incentives – Work with line manager and key stakeholders on the Sales team to develop and implement a plan for energy broker incentives throughout the year, ensuring high impact and ROI for all activities.

Marketing literature & collateral – Manage our collection of product and brand assets, including product literature, brochures, branded documents and branded merchandise. Work with internal stakeholders and external agencies to produce and update marketing materials in line with brand guidelines. Regularly review materials to ensure all documents are accurate and up-to-date.

Automated marketing & CRM support – Support and input into the development of plans to evolve our email marketing strategy.

Budget management – Support the wider Marketing team with budget management activities, including liaising with vendors, raising purchase orders, confirming receipt of goods and services and tracking purchases made on behalf of the Marketing team.

Measurement & Reporting – Work with other members of the Marketing team to measure the impact and ROI of Marketing activity. Use these insights to recommend and adopt improvements to marketing process and strategy.

Other Marketing activities – support the team with other marketing activities, including social media, website, PR, content marketing and research, as required.

To be aware of and comply with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Group/Company Data Protection policy, Equal Opportunities policy, and the Email and Internet Acceptable Usage Policy, in addition to Fire and Health and Safety Regulations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of marketing and communications principles
  • Experience writing copy for a variety of audiences and purposes
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders to deliver collaborative projects
  • Self-starter who loves a challenge
  • Able and eager to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong copywriting and editing ability
  • Able to apply basic graphic design principles
  • Basic financial acumen
  • Ability to collate Data and produce meaningful reports


  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with Marketing CRMs
  • Experience setting up automated email campaigns
  • Experience working successfully with external agencies
  • Experience delivering successful events
  • Knowledge of the energy industry or at least a willingness to learn
  • Use of graphic design software (Canva and Adobe Creative Suite are a bonus)


  • Related degree/education in Marketing (desirable), and/ or experience in a relevant role
