Role objectives
Manage Internal Control activities aiming to increase the value of SEFE Group and contribute to achievement of the SEFE Group goals by providing assurance services and support to the business in improvement of business processes
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, direct and manage a strategic annual work plan in conjunction with the Head of Internal Control, using input from the team and stakeholders to identify priorities, costs and resource requirements for the year
- Manage the planning, resourcing, review and reporting of audits and internal control activities to deliver the Internal Control work plan and ad-hoc tasks
- Own the development and maintenance of standards, policies and techniques for implementation of internal control in SEFE Group. Put in place effective monitoring of the internal controls. This includes, but is not limited to:
- setting internal control standards and the measurement of their effectiveness which business processes owners are required to be compliant with
- providing Governance and control input into key project management boards across the Group
- constructively challenging functional leaders to create an action-based culture of continuous improvement and accountability to improve their KPIs
- Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships with senior management within the SEFE Group to ensure continuous monitoring of the business control environment
- Manage the effective delivery of the performance management process (setting objectives, coaching and timely performance appraisals) across the Internal Control team and develop engagement and motivation of team members. This includes coaching and developing the team in relation to risk and controls as well as soft skills

- Fluent in English and German is an advantage
Experience
- Proven experience of managing a team responsible for ensuring compliance with processes, regulatory requirements and legislation; developed and delivered plans that are measurable with clear business outcome
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment, auditing and risk management techniques
- Experience in the Energy / Oil & Gas or Investment Trading industry
- Able to demonstrate significant experience gained in relevant activities: Internal Audit, External Audit and/or risk advisory, Internal Control activities
