We are looking for a qualified solicitor to join our team in the Netherlands to provide our retail energy teams with in-house legal advice. You will provide advice and guidance on all legal issues affecting the end-supply business in the Netherlands.
What you will do
Working closely with our Legal Counsel in Paris you will take the lead in providing advice to our end-supply business in the Netherlands. This will be a mix of commercial advice ranging from disputes through data protection to competition law.
Day to day you will draft and support with the negotiation of contracts which will include a mix of gas and power supply agreements with business to business clients, framework agreements with brokers and various other types of contracts.
You will support and manage the litigation process in relation to gas and power supplies, working with both internal colleagues and external legal counsels.
You will also provide legal advice around bankruptcy and other matters and manage the corporate secretariat of the Dutch branch.
What you’ll bring to the role?
Having qualified as a solicitor in the Netherlands you will be confident communicator demonstrating the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be focused on delivering strong results and be able to negotiate and influence to achieve strong outcomes for SEFE Energy.
You will work with both speed and accuracy and be confident working both autonomously and as part of a wider team.
You will be a native Dutch speaker and fluent in English (both written and verbal).
With a detailed working knowledge of Dutch law, you will use your commercial experience to draft contracts. You will also demonstrate a knowledge of corporate law and work closely with colleagues in both London and France.

If successful, this role will be offered as a fixed term contract for up to 12 months.
