IN SHORT
We are looking for a confident and experienced senior legal counsel to join our in-house legal team and work closely with the business to provide strategic direction as well as general commercial legal advice.
This role is offered as a fixed term contract for up to 9 months.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Manage and lead the legal team (In-House Legal Counsel and Paralegal), ensuring high-quality service delivery
• Provide legal advice and guidance
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and other legal professionals
• Oversee management of legal cases and ensure timely and effective resolution
• Provide training to the wider business
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
You will be a qualified solicitor and have significant post qualification experience. Knowledge and previous experience in the energy industry is important, together with:
• Strong commercial acumen
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Proven experience managing a legal team and providing strategic direction
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
