In this role, the Head of EPM and Analytics will lead and manage both internal and external resources within the EPM & Analytics (EPM&A) team. This involves overseeing the EPM&A application portfolio, encompassing key aspects such as business analysis, solution design, testing, ongoing support, and financial management of IT systems owned by the EPM&A team.

 

What You Will Do

A proactive approach is essential in various dimensions, from recruiting, retaining, inspiring, and motivating team members to providing coaching, and engaging in performance management for analysts within the EPM&A team. The candidate is expected to contribute to the design of the IT strategy, considering functional, technical, and business changes in the EPM&A area, working with business stakeholders.
This position is responsible for delivery planning, user acceptance criteria, and business change assessments. Effective stakeholder management is crucial, requiring the coordination of expectations and EPM&A functional requirements across all locations of the SEFE Group, resulting in an agreed project and application portfolio for the EPM&A area.
Coordination is also key in planning and managing all changes, support activities, and resources within the EPM&A area, ensuring the efficient execution of agreed-upon projects and initiatives. Collaborative efforts with Capability Owners for Architecture, Business Analysis, Development, Quality Assurance, and other IT teams are essential to ensure proper compliance with standards and processes.

 

What You Will Bring

The ideal candidate for this position should possess a degree (or equivalent) ideally in an accounting or financial management-related subject. A qualified accountant or equivalent experience is a required, with a preference for candidates from a Big 4 / Tier 1 consulting background. The role requires considerable hands-on experience in developing, testing, and delivering changes in SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, or equivalent components.

The candidate should bring full lifecycles hands-on experience, having engaged, led, or been part of large Datawarehouse, Analytics, or Financial Planning projects or implementations. They’ll possess practical experience in configuring SAP applications as well as creating and updating functional specifications, and have expertise in implementing standard and custom extractors, transformation rules, InfoSources, and associated conversion requirements for SAP BW, along with multiple source systems.

The candidate is expected to demonstrate practical experience in designing, developing, and managing Process Chains. The role involves working and managing both onshore and offshore teams, implementing global processes, and utilising both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies.

While experience in trading/integrated supply is an advantage, the candidate should excel in interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, are essential. Effective stakeholder management is a key competency, and the candidate should be adept at understanding business issues, gathering requirements for IT systems, and collaborating with internal and external business and IT partners.

The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently with limited supervision is crucial. The candidate should thrive in meeting tight deadlines and negotiating in a pressurized environment. Additionally, staying informed about technology market trends and new products within the IT area of responsibility is important. Business fluency in English is a prerequisite for success in this multifaceted role.
