As a .NET Developer, you’ll provide the business with beneficial, user focused enhancements to the decision support and trading systems, delivering robust, scalable, and supportable solutions.

What You Will Do

In this role, the candidate is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of business requirements, undertaking technical business analysis as needed. The primary responsibility involves delivering agile software solutions utilising Microsoft technologies.

It is important to maintain standards in the development lifecycle, promoting consistency and quality in the software development process. Following the completion of solutions, the candidate will facilitate a smooth transition by handing over all deliverables to the IT support team and offering 3rd line support as necessary.

Documentation is a key aspect of this role, with an emphasis on systematically capturing and sharing knowledge related to all development activities. The ideal candidate is characterised as a self-starter with a strong commercial awareness and a focus on delivering value. The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and guidance is crucial, especially in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) environment where priorities may shift regularly.


What You Will Bring

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. The candidate should possess the capability to articulate technical subjects to a non-technical audience, facilitating effective cross-functional collaboration. Striking a balance between ideal solutions and the practical delivery of requirements is a key competency sought for this role.

While an understanding of commodities trading is considered advantageous, the role specifically requires Enterprise Developer experience on complex projects. This entails proficiency in C#, SQL Server, and web UI frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js. The candidate is expected to bring experience in developing solutions that encompass these technologies, contributing to the successful execution of sophisticated projects.
