As a Python Developer, you’ll have a passion for application development, APIs, database connections, enterprise-level projects, and is comfortable tackling complex mathematical algorithms.

What You Will Do

In this role, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building strong relationships with key stakeholders ensuring the alignment of software development efforts with business objectives.

The candidate will strive for consistency in architecture and design, working closely with the Architecture team to influence and adhere to established principles. Code quality is of utmost importance, and the candidate will either perform code reviews personally or ensure that adequate code reviews are conducted by the development team.

The successful candidate will actively contribute to the software development roadmap, patterns, and principles. This involvement in shaping the strategic direction of software development initiatives will require a keen understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends.

The role also involves hands-on responsibilities in the software development lifecycle. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, test-driven object-oriented software. This requires a strong commitment to writing code that is not only functional but also scalable, maintainable, and adheres to established coding standards.

What You Will Bring

The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of commercial awareness with a strong focus on delivering value, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. This individual will be well-equipped to navigate dynamic work environments, where priorities shift regularly—a hallmark of a VUCA setting.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are key with the capacity to articulate technical subjects in a clear and concise manner, tailoring explanations for a non-technical audience.

The candidate excels at balancing the pursuit of ideal solutions with the practical delivery of project requirements. With a background in enterprise development, particularly on complex Python projects, the candidate brings proven technical expertise to the table. While an understanding of commodities trading is advantageous, the emphasis is on the candidate’s demonstrated technical proficiency and problem-solving abilities.
