As the Clearing Operations Analyst you will be responsible for accurate and timely reconciliation of the exchange traded deal lifecycle from instrument setup, trade capture and daily position reconciliation. In addition, you will do break investigation and resolution through liaison with front and middle office, product controllers, Finance IT teams, as well as external Exchanges, Clearing Brokers, and Executing Brokers.

In addition, you will do break investigation and resolution through liaison with front and middle office, product controllers, Finance IT teams, as well as external Exchanges, Clearing Brokers, and Executing Brokers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Clearing Operations Analyst will ensure timely completion of Trade and Position reconciliations on T+1. Where there are breaks, you will understand them and investigate accordingly, including sending break status and EOD reports with relevant commentary. In addition, you will;

  • Raise queries with Front Office, Exchanges, Clearing Brokers, and Executing Brokers to be resolved within the Business Day raised.
  • Promptly escalate potential issues on T and T+1 to management in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Matching of reconciled trades and action trade amendments within ETRMs.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for any clearing exceptions identified and design, agree and/or implement preventative measures to avoid recurring breaks.
  • Review and provide process and system improvements across the team to streamline and automate current processes.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

As an excellent problem solver who has a working knowledge of trading systems, preferably ENDUR. You will also bring experience in developing and executing complex reconciliations, ideally in energy commodities. You will also have;

  • Experience in developing and executing complex reconciliations.
  • Understanding of energy futures and options products and/or cleared OTC derivative products would be beneficial.
  • Experience in a commodity or financial trading environment would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working with trading counterparties and direct contact with the trading desks.
  • Experience with market leading clearing and reconciliation systems a plus.
