As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the efficient functioning of the accounts payable department for the SEFE Group. Responsibilities include managing the processing of invoices, ensuring timely payments, reconciling accounts, and collaborating with internal teams and vendors. Your role involves implementing and improving procedures to optimize workflow, maintaining accurate financial records, and staying updated on relevant regulations and industry best practices. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

What you will do?

  • Invoice Processing: Supervise the processing of invoices, verifying accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Payment Management: Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors, utilizing payment systems and methods efficiently.
  • Vendor Relations: Maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Leading and supervising the Accounts Payable Team: Lead and mentor the accounts payable team, providing guidance on tasks and fostering a collaborative work environment, including:
  • Financial Record Reconciliation: Oversee the reconciliation of accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial records.
  • Policy Compliance: Enforce compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all accounts payable processes.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, implement improvements, and enhance efficiency within the accounts payable department.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyse reports related to accounts payable, providing insights to support decision-making within the finance department.
  • Audit Preparation: Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring all accounts payable records are accurate and well-documented.
  • Technology Utilization: Stay abreast of technological advancements in accounting software and systems, integrating them into accounts payable processes for increased efficiency.

 

What you’ll bring to the role?

  • Prior experience in leading Accounts Payable teams in dynamic environments
  • Analytical, time management and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to work with staff at all levels, ability to communicate clearly and succinctly (both verbal & written) on complex topics
  • German Language skills will be an advantage
